Programs and tiers

Under Affiliates, Programs, every tier is a card of its own, in the order creators climb them. Each card shows what its affiliates have brought in, how many are in it, View payouts and View affiliates. The arrows change the order, and the order is the ladder: a creator only ever moves into a tier further down the list.

Every tier is a program of its own, so each one has its own commission, discount for followers, welcome gift and way in.

Editing a tier

Edit opens the tier over the whole screen, with six sections behind the pills at the top and one Save & Exit at the bottom.

• Basic info: the tier's name. Creators see it in their portal and in the mail that tells them they moved up.
• Commissions: the percentage of every order a creator in this tier earns, paid out with your payout method. The creators already in the tier move to a new rate when you save.
• Attribution & discounts: what their followers get, a percentage or a fixed amount, with the link a creator shares as an example. Switch on Apply UTM parameters and those links carry utm_source=ecomyard, the tier as utm_medium and the code as utm_campaign, so your analytics shows where a visit came from.
• Advanced settings: once per customer, combining with product discounts, and a minimum order value. Tagging referral orders in Shopify is one switch for all tiers, under Settings, Affiliates.
• Welcome gift: the products creators in this tier may pick for free, how many, and whether once or every month.
• Segmentation: switch on inbound segmentation and set the total referred orders, and creators in an earlier tier move into this one by themselves once they reach it. Their code moves with them, so the code they share keeps working. Leave it off and you move creators by hand.

Archive takes a tier out of use once nobody is in it. Move its affiliates to another tier first.
