Discover

Discover is where you recruit. It reads through your Instagram connection, so it starts with the people who already talk about you: everybody who tags your brand on Instagram, or posts a collab with it, and isn't an affiliate yet.

Creators

Each creator is a card with their public profile:

  • Name, bio and followers, as Instagram shows them.
  • Engagement: the likes and comments per post over their last twelve posts, as a share of their followers. Posts where the owner hides likes are left out rather than counted as zero.
  • Posts about you: the newest three, linked to Instagram. The number opens Social listening on just their posts.

Sort by most posts about you, most followers, highest engagement or newest. The pills on top split the list into To invite, Contacted, Signed up (they applied or joined) and Hidden.

A new creator's profile is read within two hours of their first tag, and every profile is read again once a week. A personal or private account shows as such: Instagram only shares the profiles of business and creator accounts.

Profiles, engagement and Look up a handle read other accounts through Meta's Business Discovery, which works only with a Facebook login. Ecomyard doesn't ask for one yet, so with Instagram connected the cards show who tags you and the posts they made about you, and you invite them the same way.

Look up a handle

Type a handle, or paste a profile link, to check any business or creator account before you reach out. It lands on the list marked Looked up. You can look up thirty accounts an hour; a profile read in the last week is shown again without counting.

Inviting a creator

Instagram shares no email address, so an invite is a message:

  1. Press Copy invite. A short message with your signup link is on your clipboard; hover the button to read it first. Somebody who tagged you is thanked for it.
  2. Open their profile from the card and paste the message in a DM on Instagram. Change anything you like before you send it.
  3. Press Mark contacted, so your team knows who has been asked.

When somebody you marked as contacted applies, their application in Applications says Found via Discover, and they move to Signed up here.

Posts in Deliveries from somebody who isn't an affiliate yet carry Copy invite too.

Hiding a creator

Hide takes a creator off the list and deletes the profile Ecomyard read, keeping only the handle so they don't come back with the next sync. Use it for anybody who asks not to be contacted. Show again under Hidden undoes it.

Social listening

Every post that tags you, and every collab you accepted, newest first: from your affiliates and from everybody else, with its likes and comments. Filter on posts from affiliates or from people who aren't affiliates yet. The same posts land in Deliveries, where you import the ones you want as content.

Privacy

What Discover reads stays in your workspace and is never shown to another brand. Disconnecting Instagram deletes every profile it read; only the handles you hid are kept.

Until Meta has reviewed the Ecomyard app, the connection can only read accounts that belong to people with a role on the app, so Discover can stay empty for other brands.
